Two boys, aged 14 and 16 are charged with murder

Two boys, aged 14 and 16 are charged with the murder of 17-year-old Anas Mezenner who became London’s first stab victim of 2021

  • Anas Mezenner, 17, was attacked in Haringey, north London on January 19 
  • He was found gravely injured near his home around 9pm suffering stab wounds
  • So far four boys aged between 14 and 16 have been charged with his murder 
  • Two boys, 14 and 16 will appear in Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today 

Police have charged two further teenagers with the murder of Anas Mezenner, 17, who was stabbed to death in north London on Tuesday, January 19. 

A 16-year-old boy, C, and a 14-year-old boy, D, were arrested on Wednesday and were both charged last night with murder, attempted murder and possession of a bladed weapon. 

The pair will appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court later today.

Following the murder, two 16-year-old boys, A and B, were both charged with murder and possession of ‘points and blades’. 

They appeared before magistrates on January 22.  

Police and emergency services were called to West Green Road, N15, around 9pm on January 19 when Anas was found suffering from stab wounds. 

He was pronounced dead at 4.25am on January 20.
