Costa delights fans with their new menu for 2021

Costa Coffee has delighted fans with their new menu for 2021 and revealed all food will be 50 per cent off until  3rd February.

The new menu, which is available across the UK, contains more vegan items than ever before to cater for those taking part in Veganuary 

In addition to the best-selling Vegan Smoky Ham & Cheeze Toastie, Costa have introduced the new Vegan BBQ Chick’n Panini with Vegan Chick’n, Texan-style BBQ sauce, roasted peppers and spinach encased in a stone baked sourdough panini.

For a vegan twist on a classic sausage roll, Costa have launched the new Vegan Roasted Butternut Squash Pastry Roll, with delicious roasted butternut squash and red onion in a vegan puff pastry with a pumpkin and sunflower seed topping. 

The new menu has delighted vegans, who have taken to Twitter to celebrate the news. 

‘The new vegan BBQ chick’n panini is incredible,’ said one.  

‘WOW. @CostaCoffee has just launched a heap of new vegan products for their #Veganuary2021 menu! BurritoParty popper⁠ Incl. a BBQ Chick’n Panini and Roasted Butternut Squash Roll⁠. And they’re offering 50% off all food menu items,’ the official Veganuary account tweeted.

Costa has also catered for breakfast lovers with the new Veggie Breakfast Box that includes a Quorn sausage, Heinz baked beanz, roasted mushrooms, free range scrambled egg, spinach and topped with mature cheddar cheese. 

Also on the menu is the Heinz Beanz and Cheeze toastie. 

There are also options for meateaters, including the new Free Range Egg, Mushroom & Spinach Bap or the new Free Range Egg & Smoked Bacon Baguette.

There’s a simple sweet offering to try with the new Fat Free Greek Style Natural Yogurt with Mixed Berry Compote or the returning Fat Free Greek Style Yogurt with Mango & Passionfruit.

There’s also the Ultimate Breakfast Wrap made with free-range egg, Cumberland sausage and beechwood smoked bacon, topped with rich thick Heinz tomato ketchup and encased in a tortilla wrap.

The classic Wiltshire Ham & Mature Cheddar Baguette is back on the menu for January and is joined by a veggie version in the form of the new Mature Cheddar Ploughman’s Baguette, which is packed full of mature cheddar cheese with pickle, tomato and Apollo lettuce. 

For those with a sweet tooth, joining this year’s star line-up includes the hotly anticipated new Caramel Muffin made with Munchies.

This melt-in-your-mouth caramel muffin, is made with chocolate chunks and biscuit balls, filled with a delightful chocolate caramel sauce, topped with caramel icing and a Munchies® chocolate.

For those that haven’t had their ginger fix over Christmas, there’s the new Vegan Jamaican Ginger Loaf Cake, which features a cinnamon frosting and is deliciously topped with ginger and orange decoration. 

Back by popular demand is the Vegan Lotus Biscoff Cheezecake. A little slice of luxury, this dessert is made with a Lotus Biscoff biscuit base, topped with a layer of velvety vegan cheeZe, topped with Lotus Biscoff spread and sprinkled with a moreish Lotus Biscoff crumb.

If there’s been enough chocolate over the Christmas period, why not try the Seriously Caramel & Hazelnut Cake, a moist sticky sponge, filled and topped with a caramel and hazelnut frosting then finished with caramelised hazelnuts and a drizzle of caramel sauce. This returning fan favourite is the perfect accompaniment to an Americano.   

Looking for an afternoon pick me up, then look no further than the new apple Crumble Flapjack, a gluten-free crumbly flapjack base, topped with lightly spiced apple and finished with a cinnamon crumble. 

Alternatively, there is the Vegan Pick ‘n’ Mix which includes cola bottles, orange gummy bears, fried eggs, hearts and even our own mini Costa Coffee cup jellies.
