Raising the fashion stakes! Would-be revellers don their race day finery and share photos from home for virtual Punchestown Festival Ladies Day
- Would-be racegoers are marking Punchestown Festival Ladies Day on Instagram
- Women are sharing snaps in their race day finery and raising money for charity
- There are three competitions to win and a €5,500 prize fund up for grabs
- Punchestown Festival was due to take place Tuesday 28 April – Saturday 2 May
These women proved there is nothing more fabulous than getting all dressed up with nowhere to go by taking part in a virtual fashion competition to mark what would have been the Punchestown Festival Ladies Day.
The four-day meet was due to take place Tuesday 28 April – Saturday 2 May, with today marking the grand final of the festival’s best dressed competition.
But instead would-be revellers have been given the chance to enter a friendly contest on social media. The #virtualfilliesday competition has seen men and women don their finest frocks, suits and hats and share photos of their outfits online.
To enter, they must also make a donation to the The Jack and Jill Children Foundation, and share a screenshot of their pledge screen.
Two judges are tasked with choosing the winner from the dozens of entries. Here, FEMAIL rounds up some of the best…
