A woman in her 20s has been found dead at a house in Colchester with a 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police were called out to a house in Laing Road on the Greenstead Estate just after 5.30am on Sunday morning.
The victim was found unresponsive and later died at the scene.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

Detectives are not searching for any other suspects at this time, and believe the man and woman knew each other.
Officers remained at the house this morning as their investigation continues.
Essex Police has appealed for any witnesses to come forward following the suspected murder.
