We can’t bear boredom! Giant teddies entertain their street during lockdown by striking zany poses in the garden

Meet a pair who find it hard to bear being stuck indoors. This furry couple have been putting smiles on the faces of residents in their street.
Ted and Ed – two life-sized teddy bears – have gathered a following on social media after they cropped up performing a range of tasks in their owner’s front garden.
Passers-by in Stockport have been able to see them doing the housework with an ironing board and vacuum cleaner, giving Hairy Bikers-style cookery tips, camping, building and even pretending to drive their owner’s car.

The resident behind Ed and Ted’s excellent adventures, who would not be named, said last night: ‘I’m doing something to use my imagination and relieve the boredom – and hopefully put a smile on people’s faces.’
He said the different displays are planned each morning and that suggested poses are welcome – but cannot be guaranteed.
Asked whether social distancing rules apply, he said: ‘Both Ted and Ed maintain their distance from humans… and practise effective handwashing following all fan-mail handling.’
