‘It definitely hurts to see people on my FYP [For You Page] calling me “a whale” and saying “she’s fat now” and I just want to encourage everyone who hears these things about themselves to love yourself!!’ she wrote.

‘If you are healthy and happy, do NOT listen to these hurtful comments. You are perfect.’

Addison often posts photos and videos of herself rocking bikinis and cropped tops on her social media pages, and this week was no exception.

Two days after she revealed she was being body-shamed, she took to Instagram to share snapshots of herself posing poolside in a black bandeau top and high-waisted bikini bottoms.

She also posted numerous TikTok videos of herself dancing, all have which have received a million views or more.

While she may appear to be the picture of confidence, she admitted in March that she was struggling with insecurity.

‘Honestly not happy with my body right now,’ she tweeted with a sad face emoji.

Drama: Addison hit back at professional gamer Nate Hill in April after he released a diss track saying she’s not that hot

In early April, YouTube star and professional gamer Nate Hill released a diss track slamming her.

‘There’s better girls than Addison Rae,’ he crooned. ‘I see hotter girls every day.’

Addison responded on Twitter, saying the song made her ‘really sad’ because she struggles ‘with body image and insecurities in general.’

‘I’m not asking for everyone to like me or love who I am/what I look like,’ she added. ‘But I am asking that everyone be positive or not say anything at all.

‘Things like this can tear someone’s self-esteem up if they’re already having negative thoughts in their own head.’

In a subsequent tweet, she noted that she found it ‘sad’ that Nate was using his large platform to spread such negativity.

Addison’s close pal, fellow TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio, revealed on Twitter last month that she has also been getting attacked by body shamers.

‘A person’s opinion is their own opinion, I can’t change what they think about me,’ she wrote. ‘But body shaming is something that so many people deal with and I struggled with for a long time.

‘I finally know that I can’t change myself to make everyone happy but for people reading comments and think that being “too” big or too small changes their overall “rate” is not healthy,’ she added.

‘Self-love and self-confidence are so important because you cannot control what other people think or say.’
