Catherine Farrelly, prosecuting, alleged that Andersson met with alleged gunman Anis Fouad Hemissi in the days leading up to the assassination.

She claimed Andersson flew to Britain to provide Hemissi with a disguise and firearm.

Hemissi, from Malmo, and Andersson also from Sweden, are both charged with murder.

He was bailed to next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on November 30, the Metropolitan Police said.

Ms Farrelly said of Andersson: ‘The prosecution say he essentially was part of a lengthy operation and his role was to assist Mr Hemissi in organising and executing the offence in person.
