Four police officers were injured after a ‘mini riot’ broke out in a residential street.

Shocking footage shows crowds gathering around two policemen as they seemingly try to detain a suspect – and one officer draws his stun gun as tempers flare while at least three people jump on a car and smash its windscreen.

Six police cars arrived at the scene to offer backup to the pair of officers trying to contain the crowd.

The dramatic footage, uploaded to the website Birmz Is Grime, has been viewed thousands of times since it was posted on Tuesday.

‘I’m not even sure what caused it all but it just escalated very quickly. There were feral youths running amok and jumping on cars, right under the noses of the officers.

‘It was like living in a lawless society, everyone was kicking off and screaming – it was pretty frightening to say the least.’
