Stocking up on lockdown supplies? Masked Princess Beatrice heads to Waitrose in Belgravia to pick up groceries with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

  • Couple, who married in lockdown in July, stepped out today to pick up shopping
  • Beatrice, 32, and Edo, 37, both sported face masks as they carried their groceries
  • Newlyweds currently live in Princess Beatrice’s apartment in St James’s Palace

Princess Beatrice was spotted stocking up on lockdown supplies today as she and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi popped to Waitrose in Belgravia.

The newlyweds, who currently reside at Beatrice’s apartment in St James’ Palace, carried three heavily laden shopping bags along the pavement before climbing into their Range Rover.

Beatrice, 32, sported a cool but casual vibe, dressing all in black and layering a mac coat over a floaty skirt, adding a dash of colour with an autumnal tan scarf.

She completed her look with white trainers and carried a black shopper with a chevron design.

Beatrice wore her voluminous locks loose around her shoulders and appeared to keep her accessories to a minimum, but her stunning engagement ring caught the light as she carried her bag.

Edo, 37, donned blue jeans and a pale blue collarless shirt beneath a navy blazer.

Both sported protective face masks as they strolled down the Central London street, with Edo’s featuring a polka dot design.

The couple, who married in secret in Windsor in July during lockdown, were previously spotted picking up groceries at the London branch of the supermarket with Edo’s son Wolfie, from his previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang, in September.

The outings suggest Beatrice and Edo are settling into married life in London. Wolfie plays an important part in their lives together in the city, with friends previously speaking of the good relationship Beatrice has with her new stepson.

Meanwhile Beatrice’s pregnant sister Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have moved into Frogmore Cottage, after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to the US.

An insider claimed on Friday that Harry and Meghan had their possessions shipped off to California after ‘removal vans pitched up in the dead of night and cleared out the cottage’.

This was said to be a ‘pretty strong sign’ the couple have ‘no plans to return’ to Windsor.

Harry and Meghan reportedly ‘blindsided’ senior royals when they handed the keys over to the couple.

‘Obviously the Queen was told after the couples had spoken about the plan,’ an insider told The Sun.

‘But it is very much a deal done between Harry, Meghan, Eugenie and Jack. There is a close bond between them.’

There is now speculation that Eugenie and Jack’s Kensington Palace abode, the three-bedroom Ivy Cottage, could be an option for Beatrice and Edo.
