Prince Harry instructs his and Meghan’s team not to accept any work ‘negative’ of the Queen

Prince Harry has instructed his and Meghan’s team not to accept any work offers that make fun of his grandmother the Queen or the royal family, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Harry and his wife are represented by Meghan’s former Hollywood agent Nick Collins of The Gersh Agency.

Collins is handling film, TV and philanthropic offers and opportunities on behalf of the couple from around the world.

But Harry, 35, has told the agent in no uncertain terms that he and his wife will not do anything that is ‘detrimental to the Queen.’

Last week, Disney officially announced Meghan would be the narrator of the new documentary Elephant, which airs on Disney+ on April 3 – marking the first project she will take on since stepping back from her royal duties.

The documentary will notably premiere three days after Meghan and Harry officially step down on March 31.

Last year, the Duchess joked that she and Harry attended the premiere of The Lion King in London, to ‘pitch’ for work, footage from the event revealed.

Experts say the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who stepped down as senior royals in a bid to become financially independent – now have the potential to rake in tens of millions of dollars annually.

But Harry put his foot down to insist the couple will not consider any projects that play off their connection to the Royal Family, no matter how lucrative.

Sources in Los Angeles, where Meghan and Harry recently moved to, told DailyMail.com Harry does not want a ‘media war’ or to spark any further ‘bad blood’ by ridiculing his royal links simply to make money.

The source said: ‘Offers have come flooding in to Collins for Harry and Meghan. They are worth tens of millions of dollars and some offers are absolutely in their wheelhouse of charity ideas, however some are straight up advertising and marketing promotions and commercials.’

The source continued: ‘And of course having a narrative about Harry and Meghan either reflecting on their royal links or stepping away is an easy storyline.

‘However, Harry has instructed his and Meghan’s team to nix anything that in any way could be negative towards the royals. Essentially anything that is negative to the Queen, Prince Charles, his brother or the throne is off limits.

‘It shows that even though he has stepped away from royal life, he does not want to upset his grandmother or father.’

Insiders say Collins has received offers and opportunities from a raft of big companies. These include liquor firms, medical corporations, banks, sporting companies and entertainment firms.

He is currently advising the couple and is helping lead them into the next chapter of their lives.

It’s understood he will handle any talks with Silicon Valley investors, Hollywood studios, as well as TV giants such as Amazon, Netflix and Hulu.

The Gersh Agency is one of the leading agencies in Hollywood, with many Oscar winners and major TV stars in their client roster including Kristen Stewart, Adam Driver, Tobey Maguire and Jamie Foxx. Gersh has offices in Beverly Hills and New York.

Collins, based in LA, started at the agency as an assistant in 2005, working for Bob Gersh. He was promoted to agent in 2007 and was named partner in 2015.

Three years later the ambitious agent was made Co-Head of Talent.

According to the firm’s website, Collins’ roster of clients includes Taylor Kinney, the star of drama series Chicago Fire and former fiance of singer Lady Gaga, Courtney B. Vance, who appeared in The People v. O.J. Simpson and Megan Boone, who rose to fame in NBC drama series The Blacklist.

Currently Harry and Meghan are working with Oprah Winfrey on a TV documentary focusing on mental health, which is scheduled to air later this year.

In February the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an exclusive JPMorgan event in Miami in their first major engagement after announcing Megxit.

Reports suggested fees for that gig started at least $750,000.

In November Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. cashed in on his estranged sister’s fame with a beer commercial.

The low-budget ad, which has not yet aired on TV, showed him stealing from Buckingham Palace.

Thomas Jr appeared in the 30-second ad for Classic New York Beer, which saw him break into Buckingham Palace to steal Queen Elizabeth’s crown.

Many on social media criticized Markle Junior for ‘cashing in’ and using ‘non-existent links to his sister’s life simply to make money’.

Even Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess Of York, was careful not to trade off her royal links when she ran her US business in the 2000s.

The former wife of Prince Andrew made sure Hartmoor, billed as a lifestyle company, did not exploit or mock her past and links to the royal family.
