Police investigating Ryan Giggs’ alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend have passed the case on to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The CPS will now decide if charges can be brought against the Wales football manager over the alleged bust-up with Kate Greville, 36.
Giggs, 47, was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and assault after a row at his £1.7million home at 10pm on October 31.
Ms Greville has moved out of the mansion they shared in Worsley, Greater Manchester to stay with family.
The ex-Man Utd ace has been on police bail since he was released from police custody after the incident.

Now that the case is being considered by the CPS, he may may soon learn whether he can put the matter behind him or face a court case over the allegations.
The star denies all claims of assault made against him.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: ‘A file has been submitted to the CPS and a decision is expected in due course.’
A row allegedly between broke out between Giggs and Ms Greville when she confronted him over ‘flirty’ messages to two women on his iPad, which was linked to his phone, before the pair engaged in a blazing row.
She was later seen with a bruised lip while walking her dog near her father’s home.
Giggs went public with the relationship with Ms Greville in 2018 after whisking her away for a holiday in Italy, eight months after his divorce.
He later hired her as head of PR for GG Hospitality, the firm he owns with former Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville.
The couple were immediately linked after Giggs’ split from his wife Stacey who he divorced in December 2017.

His relationship with the reality TV star led to a super-injunction scandal when the married footballer successfully applied to the high court to prevent any details of the affair he’d allegedly had with her from being made public.
But MP John Hemming used parliamentary privilege to name the footballer as Giggs in a Commons debate.
The Welsh football coach also had an eight-year relationship with his brother Rhodri’s partner Natasha throughout the duration of his marriage, during which time his wife Stacey Giggs had been pregnant with their two children.
The affair was first revealed in June 2011 when Rhodri’s wife Natasha admitted to secretly sleeping with the former star winger in an interview with a Sunday paper.
She claimed she had aborted Ryan’s baby just weeks before she got married to Rhodri in Las Vegas.
The affair split the family apart, with brother Rhodri Giggs falling out with his brother and mother, who reportedly sided with Ryan after the affair.
The Wales manager apologised to his brother for the betrayal weeks after the affair was revealed, saying he ‘wasn’t thinking’, but Rhodri said the apology was just hollow words.

Rhodri revealed last year he has not spoken to his brother or mother since the episode.
He said had forgiven his older brother after several years, and saw the comedy in the situation whe he appeared in an advert for bookmaker Paddy Power poking fun at the situation.
At the time Rhodri said: ‘I think he over-stepped the mark, I don’t think I did. What I did was funny, what he did was a car crash.’
In August 2018, Ryan finally went public with his secret PR girl lover Kate, 36, after whisking her away for a holiday in Italy eight months after his divorce, where the pair were pictured exploring the town of Ravello on Italy’s Amalfi coast.
Giggs was first linked to Ms Greville after she ended her marriage in 2015, 18 months after she started working for him.
Ms Greville’s ex-husband Damian Burke accused Giggs of being ‘the third person in our marriage’. They denied they had a sexual relationship at the time.
Kate was showered with gifts by the footballer as his ten-year marriage to wife Stacey, who has two children with the footballer, crumbled, according to the Sun.
The two first met in 2013 after Kate helped promote his Hotel Football venue, launched with ex-United teammate Gary Neville.
And a month after his divorce, Giggs hired Kate as head of PR for GG Hospitality, his firm owned with Neville.
