And Peter Crouch goes to great lengths to entertain fans as he calls in his wife Abbey Clancy to pierce his eyebrow on Saturday’s upcoming edition of Save Our Summer.

In scenes set to air over the weekend, the former footballer, 39, winces in pain as he jokes: ‘What I’m holding on to is the fact I’m going to look so cool.’

The father-of-four pulls animated facial expression as he grows anxious about model Abbey, 34, who is a trained piercer, switching up his look. 

‘This is where you think, “How have I got into this ­situation?”‘, the media personality admitted.

The former England striker’s mission was part of his Extreme ­Retirement Challenges, in which he attempts tasks he wasn’t previously allowed to take part in as a football star.  

In a press release promoting his new series, Peter enthused: ‘It’ll put a smile on people’s faces. Everything has been cancelled – music festivals, sports events and so on, but we’re going to bring a little bit of them all to this Saturday night show.

‘We’ll have an amazing studio guest each episode, plus tunes from top bands and artists performing in their garden. 

‘There’ll also be sportsmen competing against each other, bringing to life postponed events like Wimbledon, the Olympics and Euro 2020.’

The athlete, who shares Sophia, nine, Liberty, five, Johnny, two, and Jack, 11 months, with Abbey, recently confessed he was ‘taken aback’ when Prince Harry asked him how he bagged the catwalk star back in 2015.

When recalling the incident to The Radio Times, the former Liverpool ace revealed he wanted to call the royal a ‘cheeky b*****d’ but was lost for words. 

He said: ‘I was taken aback. But I found it hilarious. Abs was over the moon. She thought she could be a princess. 

‘I had so many things I should have said back. But I was so taken aback I didn’t say anything. I’ve met him a couple of times, and Prince William. And they were both great. Really down-to-earth normal fellas.’

The podcast star was playing in a Unicef charity match at Old Trafford in 2015 when Prince Harry visited the changing room.
