‘I’m the baby whisperer!’: Orlando Bloom discusses life with newborn daughter Daisy Dove and says she looks like him with mum Katy Perry’s blue eyes
He welcomed a baby daughter with fiancée Katy Perry in late August.
And Orlando Bloom was every inch the doting dad as he discussed life with baby girl Daisy Dove and revealed who the newborn resembles in a candid chat with Ellen on Wednesday.
The Lord of the Rings actor, 43, revealed Daisy is the perfect mix of him and her singer mother, 35.

Ellen said: ‘Katy sent me a picture. The baby is the cutest. The eyes look like her.’
Orlando responded: ‘Yeah when she first came out I was like “oh it’s a mini me” then fortunately she got those Katy blues which was perfect and she sort of looked like my mum.
‘Then I got a little bit confused because Katie’s breastfeeding this mini-me/my mum and who is she going to look like next?’
The Carnival Row actor also dubbed himself ‘the baby whisperer’ for his ability to soothe Daisy.

He said: ‘When Katy was pregnant, I chanted to the baby with a Buddhist mantra which I have used since I was 16. So now I walk into the room and she hears my voice and she soothes a bit.
‘And when I’m walking around with her I will chant in her ear and she likes it, she responds to it very nicely.
Katie is a bit like “what?”, it’s like I’m the baby whisperer. I am definitely winning the daddy points.
‘She is sleeping through the night. It’s always a journey when little bubbas come into the world.
‘They have to get back to their baby weight in that process. She’s now back to her baby weight and she’s now sleeping from nine until six which is unbelievable. It’s a blessing.’

Orlando, who shares son Flynn, nine, with ex wife Miranda Kerr, said his firstborn was a devoted and caring big brother.
He said: ‘For the first time he has a sister. He’s well versed in babies.
‘His mum has a couple, he has a couple of little brothers so he’s the best, he’s wonderful , we’re all doing a lot of schooling remotely.

‘We’re at home a lot. There’s a lot of time for nesting and picking up a lot and take care of the baby a bit. Sort of.’
The couple welcomed Daisy Dove Bloom into the world in late August after Katy unveiled her pregnancy in her Never Worn White music video this March.
They have been engaged since last year and intended to tie the knot this year in Japan but have delayed the festivities on account of COVID-19.
Katy was previously briefly married to Russell Brand but Daisy is her firstborn.
