New mum Danielle Armstrong posts sweet dishevelled snap with daughter Orla

She gave birth to her first child – a baby girl – just over a week ago.

And Danielle revealed how her life has dramatically changed since the arrival of her newborn, who she has named Orla Mae, during an Instagram post on Thursday.

The TOWIE star, 32, shared an adorable snap of herself looking slightly dishevelled first thing in the morning, holding her little girl in her arms.

In the image, Danielle wore a black bra maternity bra with a slightly unbuttoned oversized blue shirt as she posed for the photo in her dressing room.

Smiling Danielle, who shares Orla with fiancé Tom Edney, swept most of her blonde hair back into a ponytail, while appearing fresh-faced for the adorable snap.

Alongside the photo, she joked: ‘Oh How Mornings Have Changed.’ She also added the hashtags ‘new mum’ and ‘just winging it’.

On Wednesday, Danielle celebrated one week since giving birth to her baby daughter Orla.

The reality star took to Instagram to share two sweet snaps of her newborn as she reflected on the milestone.

In one black-and-white photo, taken shortly after giving birth, Danielle looked radiant as she cradled her baby daughter on her chest while lying in the hospital bed.

Danielle also shared a photo of Orla in a sweet pink floral dress and collar as she peacefully slept in her baby cot.

Feeling overwhelmed by the milestone, the reality star penned: ‘How Are You Already 1 Week [baby and heart emoji] #babygirl.’ 

Danielle also shared some lovely snaps to her Instagram Stories as she shared a sweet video of her daughter keeping cosy in a personalised blanket.

While she also posted a clip of herself cradling her daughter in her arms in a sweet update. 

It comes after Danielle candidly discussed her ‘tough’ birthday after she welcomed an overdue Orla last week, who weighed 8Ibs 11oz.  

Speaking to new! magazine, she said: ‘She’s so beautiful. I’m so in love with my little girl, we are totally smitten. [The birth] was tough, but Orla was totally worth it.’

Danielle was very vocal about being overdue with the tot as she struggled with the last days of her pregnancy as she awaited the arrival – which she branded ‘tough’.  

When announcing the news last week, Danielle posted adorable snaps of her new arrival and wrote: ‘My World Is Complete. Orla Mae Edney Born May 26th at 16:30pm, Weighing A Healthy 8Ibs11.’ 

After revealing the joyous news, Danielle shared a short clip breastfeeding her newborn as she admitted she felt as though she had been ‘hit by a bus’ after labour.

Gesturing at her daughter, Danielle began: ‘She’s currently on the boob, Orla Mae, you kept us waiting!..

‘Not even going to talk about the labour, I’ll do that another day. But she’s here, that’s all that matters.’ 

She continued: ‘I am exhausted. I think all women that have children are superheroes – and midwives. I am exhausted. Oh my god, I literally feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. 

‘But I’m so pleased she’s here, I feel like the happiest girl in the world’. 

She took to Instagram on Monday evening to post a video of the many gifts she received and also admitted she ‘couldn’t believe’ it had been a week.

Danielle announced that she was expecting her first child back in November, with the star sharing a sweet Polaroid collage featuring herself and her beau.

The television personality captioned the post: ‘The Best Part Of Us Will Be You’.
