Phoebe, from Western Australia, shared the secret ingredients she used after she made the perfectly succulent roast dinner for her family. 

The mother-of-two said all you’ll need are butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper, onion and a large family size roast beef.

How to make slow cooked beef in garlic herb butter with gravy

INGREDIENTS 

1 cup softened butter

7 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped

2 tbsp fresh thyme, finely chopped

1 tbsp pepper

1 tbsp salt

1 large onion 

Family size roast beef

METHOD

Mix the butter, garlic, herbs, in a bowl until it forms a paste. Season with salt and pepper.

Pat the beef dry with a paper towel. Spread the mixture all over the beef until its covered. Place in the slow cooker on a bed of chopped onion.

Cook for six hours on low – or more or less depending on the size of the meat. Serve with mash potatoes and green vegetables.
