A mother with an knack for desserts has shared a delicious Milkybar pudding recipe that can be made without an oven. 

Laura Middleton, from Kingston-upon-Hull, has been delighting people with a sweet tooth throughout lockdown long with her amazing desserts recipes, and shared her latest confection on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group. 

She said the easy recipe just requires an hour to chill in the fridge, and members of the group said they couldn’t wait to sink their teeth in.  

Encouraged by the success of her other recipes, which includes a Malteser pudding, Laura shared her latest idea, which won her praise from fans who said they couldn’t wait to try it.

How to make Laura’s no-bake Milky Bar pudding 

INGREDIENTS

275g white chocolate spread

250g unsalted butter

300g icing sugar

150g shortbread, crushed 

300g of Milkybar chocolate

Ten squares of milk chocolate

Chocolate buttons and M&Ms for toppings  

METHOD 

Melt the unsalted butter and mix with the white chocolate spread 

Add the icing sugar and  crushed shortbread to form a thick paste

Step one: Laura mixed 275g of white chocolate spread and 250g of melted unsalted butter in a bowl with shortbread and sugar icing

She spread the shortbread  base in a tin foil dish and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes before moving on to the next steps

Pour it into a foil tray or a greaseproof tin, and spread it evenly before putting it to set in the fridge for 30 minutes

Remove and pour the melted Milkybar over the shortbread base.

Melt the milk chocolate and use it to make a pattern on top, using a spoon or fork. 

Add chocolate buttons and red and blue M&Ms to decorate the top of the cake.
