A six-year-old girl miraculously survived after falling 40ft from a balcony – into thick snow.

The startling footage shows the child, who was at home alone, get up, shake herself down and go back indoors, despite suffering concussion.

Her scary fall from a fourth-floor flat in Russian city Tomsk was caught on CCTV.

For a second she didn’t move in the thick pile of snow, with only her long dark hair visible.

Then she got to her feet, brushed herself off, climbed over a low fence, and ran slowly towards the door of her apartment block on Karl Marx Street.

She appears to be wearing a long-sleeved top, lightweight trousers and socks when she fell at around 9pm Saturday night when temperatures were minus 6C.

While no witnesses are seen in the video, it is clear someone called the emergency services because the unnamed girl was rushed to hospital.
