Man, 24, dies after being attacked near train station in Crawley as police launch manhunt for suspect

  • Air ambulance lifted 24-year-old man to hospital after attack yesterday evening

  • Officers are searching for a suspect who is thought to be known to the victim  

A 24-year-old man has died after being attacked near a train station in Crawley as police launch a manhunt for the suspect.

The victim was airlifted to hospital after reportedly being stabbed near in Three Bridges, near Crawley in Sussex, on Tuesday evening.

A spokesman from Sussex Police confirmed a manhunt was underway, writing: ‘Sadly, a man has died after sustaining critical injuries in an assault in Russell Way, Crawley, on Tuesday evening. 

‘We are searching for a suspect known to the victim, but are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.’

Police and forensic teams were seen near the Skyfall apartments in the town at around 11pm.
