MAC cosmetics waitlist Boots stores across the UK and Ireland

MAC is coming to Boots! A record 48,000 people are on waitlist to shop the cosmetics brand as it launches in stores across the UK and Ireland

Get ready, everyone’s favourite makeup brand MAC Cosmetics is launching in Boots stores and online from July 29, as part of the store’s ongoing plans to transform the face of high street beauty.

The news has caused a ripple of excitement within the beauty community with over 48,000 people already on the waitlist. That’s the largest number of sign-ups in one day on a premium beauty brand waiting list on Boots.com to date.

MAC Cosmetics will be joining the already-covetable lineup of beauty brands that Boots have recently launched into stores and online including the likes of Fenty Beauty, Huda Beauty, Morphe, Laura Mercier, and most recently Nars.

Your Boots shopping cart is about to get a little more cramped – think lipsticks, lip liners, eyeliner pencils, mascara, bronzer, highlighter, blush, and foundation and more.

‘2020 has been another big year for beauty at Boots, and we’re so excited for M·A·C to join the Boots Beauty family,’ said Joanna Rogers, trading director and VP of beauty at Boots UK.

‘As one of the leading premium makeup brands, offering such a diverse range of colours, formulas and textures, we’re pleased to be making yet another iconic brand more accessible for beauty lovers across the UK.’

Until now, MAC Cosmetics was exclusive to high-end department stores and MAC boutiques, but now the cosmetics giant will be easily shoppable at Boots.

Some of the beauty buys we’re most excited about scoring include MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation, Powder Kiss Lipstick and Strobe Cream.

Terry Barber, director of makeup artistry at MAC added: ‘It’s a natural step for MAC to pair with an iconic British retailer such as Boots. Everybody shops at Boots! MAC is a people’s brand, and through Boots, it’s now closer to the consumers who love it.’

To celebrate the launch, MAC is offering the chance to win a virtual one-to-one session with a MAC senior makeup artist, alongside £250 worth of MAC makeup.

But that’s not all. They’re also giving away 500 full-sized MAC lipsticks – all you have to do is sign up to the waiting list before July 27. Aptly the date marks National Lipstick Day, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate.
