[***]The pair are awaiting sentencing for paying $500,000 to get their daughters into the California college as part of a bribery scheme ran by mastermind Rick Singer. It involved them making fake athlete profiles for the girls and presenting them as star rowers.
[***]The couple pleaded guilty to fraud charges earlier this year. Prosecutors are asking that Mossimo be jailed for five months and that Lori serve two months.
[***]In a sentencing memorandum filed in court in Massachusetts on Thursday, prosecutors once again described how the pair cheated the system.
[***]They laid out how Mossimo was particularly angry with the college counselor, who had questioned Olivia Jade’s application, calling him a ‘nosey b*****d’.
[***]Lori later called him a ‘weasel’. The counselor has not been named.

[***]In January 2018, the prosecutors claim, the couple and Olivia Jade were discussing the risk of the counselor ‘disrupting their scheme’.

[***]’When their daughter asked whether she should list USC as her top choice school, Loughlin replied: “Yes . . . . But it might be a flag for the weasel to meddle,”‘ the documents claim.
[***]’Giannulli added: “F[***] him,” and remarked that the counselor was a “nosey b****d” Loughlin thereafter instructed her daughter: “Don’t say too much to that man.”’
[***]Three months later, after she had been ‘flagged’ as a recruit for the school’s crew team, the counselor intervened, telling USC officials that he had no knowledge of her ever being involved in the sport.
[***]’Based on what I knew of her video blogging schedule highly doubted she was involved in crew,’ he said, in reference to her lucrative YouTube account where she made money through make-up tutorial videos.
[***]Giannulli confronted the counselor and ‘aggressively’ asked him what he’d been telling USC about his daughters.
[***]'[He] asked why [the counselor] was trying to ruin or get in the way of their opportunities,’ the documents claim.
[***]Lori also told Olivia Jade ‘not to say too much’ about her applications.
[***]In emails to his accountant, Mossimo described having to cheat the system to get the girls into the school.

[***]In another, he asked: ‘The last college “donation” for [my younger daughter]. Can’t I write this off?’ in reference to a $200,000 payment he’d made.
[***]The pair will be sentenced on August 21.
[***]They both initially pleaded not guilty, risking 40 years behind bars while other parents who were charged – including Felicity Huffman – hurriedly accepted plea deals.
[***]Earlier this year, the pair suddenly switched their pleas. They also tried to rush the sentencing, sparking speculation they were hopeful that the COVID-19 pandemic would keep them out of prison.
[***]Prosecutors also argued Monday that Giannulli deserved a harsher sentence than his wife, because he played a more active role in the conspiracy, even ‘brazenly lying’ to one of his daughter’s school counselors about her athletic ability.
[***]’Loughlin took a less active role, but was nonetheless fully complicit, eagerly enlisting Singer a second time for her younger daughter, and coaching her daughter not to ‘say too much’ to her high school’s legitimate college counselor, lest he catch onto their fraud,’ the prosecutors wrote.
