In the video, Rylyn is sat on the sofa in a red striped T-shirt as he begins his rendition of Bob Marley’s famous hit without the aid of a backing track.

He flashes a cheeky grin before shaking his head from side-to-side as he keeps time with the music.

Rylyn cheerfully continues his performance and adds a flourish as he points at the camera.

The clip was originally shared on social media by Kathleen Nicholson who wrote: ‘This sweet boy is a friend of a friends nephew!!

But Rylan’s mother Maureen has since written her own post and thanked all those who stopped to watch her son’s performance.

She wrote: ‘My little boy’s video hit 6.7 million views on [Facebook]. His sweet message seemed to resonate.

‘We are holding space in our hearts for all of those who need a bit of hope right now.

‘Rylyn is an old soul and if he says every little thing is going to be alright, I believe him.’
