Jamie Oliver’s children reveal how to make easy Fro-Yo homemade ice cream

Jamie Oliver has proved his culinary talent certainly runs in the family, sharing a video of his children demonstrating how to make a family-friendly ice cream recipe.

The British chef, 44, from London, shares Poppy Honey Rosie, 18, Daisy Boo Pamela, age 17, Petal Blossom Rainbow, age 11, Buddy Bear Maurice, 9, and River Rocket, 3, with wife Jools.

And in his latest video to Instagram, Jamie enlisted the help of Buddy and Petal to reveal his one-minute frozen yoghurt recipe, using just two ingredients in one minute.

Jamie Oliver’s family-friendly fro-yo recipe 

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 lime
  • 3 large tablespoons of natural yoghurt

Method

  • Peel and slice two bananas with adult supervision 
  • Slice the bananas into 3cm chunks and place them in a ziploc bag
  • Freeze the banana chunks for half a day, then take them out of the freezer 
  • Blend the frozen banana chunks until smooth
  • Add 3 tablespoons of natural yoghurt and blend again until smooth
  • Add mixture to cone and grate chocolate over the top. Serve

Sharing the video, which racked up over 1.6 million views and was praised by hundreds including Fearne Cotton and Matt Baker, Jamie wrote: ‘Buddy and Petal have a new recipe for you all!

Finally, the children add the finishing touch  – grating chocolate carefully over the cone before enjoying the fruits of their labour along with little River.
