A homeowner was left spitting with rage after their new £5,000 hot tub was destroyed as it was being delivered.

Gut-wrenching footage shows the luxury wood-panelled item slip free from its guide ropes and fall 60-foot before smashing into a front garden. 

A woman can be heard screaming barely seconds before the disaster unfolds in Swansea, Wales.

The video, shot on July 13, shows a crane slowly raising a hot tub into a customer’s back garden.

But it tips at a 40 degree angle and tumbles to the ground, making a loud ‘bang’ upon impact.

A neighbour who took the footage but did not wish to be named said: ‘I watched the whole thing. I saw the crane right over the top of the house and thought: “What are they doing there?”.’ 

‘It had a guide rope to stop it slipping, but the whole thing tilted at a 40 degree angle and slid straight down.

‘It landed in their garden and just missed the porch and house.

‘It made a hell of a crack, it could have gone straight through the roof.’

The owner, who did not wish to be named, said they hoped another would be delivered within days.
