This is the moment a game of backyard cricket went disastrously wrong after a grown man smashed his mother in the face with a ball.
Nick Gurney, from Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, set up a camera to film his cricketing antics before asking his mother, Jen, to bowl a ball toward him.
She sits on a chair as she throws a ball but Mr Gurney misses it with his bat and shouts: ‘No bouncers.’

He then returns the ball and Jen bowls back a killer overhand.
The ball connects with Nick’s bat with a crack and immediately volleys off and smacks his mum in the face.
She throws her hands up and lets out a scream as Nick runs towards her shouting: ‘Oh Mum! S***.’
Nick took to Twitter to share his deadly swing, posting the clip with the caption: ‘Isolation going well. Don’t bowl there mum.’
The video has since been viewed nearly 700 thousand times more than received two thousand likes on Twitter.
