Corduroy, a fabric deemed square and unfeminine by many, has had a high-fashion makeover.

Forget last season’s trend, which favoured mustards and unflattering browns. This autumn, the focus is on stylish blues and timeless greens — in other words, corduroy for grown-ups.

the better. Thankfully the High Street is spilling over with chic designs. Heading to a socially distanced dinner? Team electric green flares with a blazer. Popping to the shops? Jazz up your outfit with a baker-boy style cap.
