A woman has revealed her husband transformed their garden shed into a stylish bedroom for their teenage daughter – using budget materials from the likes of Ikea, eBay and Argos.
Charlene Egan, from Berkshire, posted impressive before and after photos to Facebook group DIY On A Budget Official, and penned: ‘My hubby transformed our brick shed into a bedroom for my 13-year-old daughter for some much needed space of her own. I think he did a fab job!’
Thanks to their budget buys, including LED strip lights from eBay and Dunelm’s £8 Geo Rose Gold wallpaper, the family were able to transform the room without splurging on a professional decorator.

In her initial post (pictured), Charlene penned: ‘My hubby transformed our brick shed into a bedroom for my 13-year-old daughter for some much needed space of her own. I think he did a fab job!’
And DIY fans from across the nation were quick to comment on the post, which has since racked up over 7,000 likes, admitting their own teenagers would love a similar style room.
Charlene shared a series of photographs that documented the process of the shed transformation from start to finish.

However, after her husband’s handiwork, what once was nothing more than a tired-looking shed appears to have been given a new lease of life – that any young girl would be proud to call her room.
It boasts everything from an LED mirror, stylish rose gold wallpaper, TV and even comes complete with neon pink ceiling lights.
‘That’s amazing he’s done a fabulous job I’m sure your 13-year-old is so happy and grateful to have her own space as well,’ enthused one impressed social media user.

‘That’s amazing, top dad points,’ commented another, while a third wrote: ‘Room looks fab and I’d say your hubby is definitely a keeper.’
A fourth agreed: ‘That girly is definitely daddy’s girl. He did a Fab makeover. He had permission to be extremely proud,’ while a further joked: ‘That is excellent, I wish my man was as skilled as that!’
