Chocolate lovers go wild for Easter egg with Mini Eggs embedded in the shell

Cadbury has sent fans into a frenzy with its latest release – after launching an Easter egg with Mini Eggs embedded in the chocolate shell.

The British chocolate maker has launched the product as part of its Easter 2021 range, with the sweet treat costing £12 at Tesco and coming complete with a small bag of Mini Eggs to enjoy.

Fans branded the 507g egg a ‘game changer’ and many insisted they would be buying this for themselves ahead of the holiday on April 4.

The chocolate delight was spotted by food blogger Helen J Tea, who tried it out in a clip for her Instagram followers, with many then expressing how impressed by the item they were.

The new range is available to buy now alongside the much-loved Cadbury Easter favourites ready for the big day.

Earlier this month, Cadbury announced it has hidden 200 gold-covered Creme Eggs in shops across the UK which could be worth a huge £5,000 to anyone who finds them.

The chocolate maker has disguised the golden eggs in normal wrapping, and lucky winners will only know if they’ve cashed in once it’s been unwrapped.

It’s the fifth year in a row the confectionery giant has had a cash competition linked to the popular Easter treat –  but it’s the first time they’ve covered the egg in edible golden dust.

In previous years the prize has been attached to finding elusive white chocolate eggs instead.

The limited edition golden goodies will be hidden in stores masquerading as the much-loved classic Cadbury Creme Egg for fans to uncover.

The gooey delights have been given a golden touch with the delicious Cadbury chocolate shell covered in gold dust, and filled with that familiar fondant goodness.

It comes as Cadbury’s mark the 50th anniversary of the Creme Egg with more than 200 million Creme Eggs sold in the UK alone every year – meaning there’s only a one in a million chance of grabbing the cash prize.
