These stunning pictures look like a scene from Holland’s tulip farms.

But in fact they show Britain’s last remaining bulb fields bursting into colour.

The pictures, taken yesterday using drones, show the incredible blooms near King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

The flowers have been brightening up family-run Belmont Nurseries, where four-year-old twins Isaac and Florence Atkin were pictured running yesterday morning.

The heads of the flowers were later chopped off so the plant’s energy can go into making the bulbs bigger.

The bulbs can later be sold.

Janet and Peter Ward, who run the nursery, have been growing tulips for 20 years.

The farm was due to open to the public to raise money for The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, as a way of saying thank you after Mr Ward recovered from cancer last year.

Due to the lockdown they have been unable to do this but hope people will still donate.
