Boy Meets World love interests Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel TOGETHER AGAIN in Panera ad

They played love interests Cory and Topanga on Boy Meets World which aired from 1993 until 2000.

And in a new commercial for Panera fans could see Ben Savage and Danielle Fisher together again over two decades after the end of the show.

The 40-year-old Ben and 39-year-old Danielle lovingly spoofed throwback romantic comedy trailers in a commercial that dropped the week of Valentine’s Day.

So sweet: In a new commercial for Panera fans could see Ben Savage and Danielle Fisher together again two decades after the end of Boy Meets World

A voiceover introduces them: ‘This Valentine’s Day things are about to heat up when two old flames discover the one thing that could pull them back together.’

Danielle and Ben are both seen independently approaching the Panera counter as a staff member announces: ‘Pepperoni flatbread pizza!’

Both of them think the pizza is their order, prompting them to say, ‘No way!’ and turn to each other, gazing romantically into one another’s eyes.

A romantic montage shows them frolicking through a meadow, where Danielle runs a hand gently down Ben’s cheek.

The voice-over promises ‘laughter’ as Ben holds a pizza box open for Danielle only to suddenly close it as she reaches for a slice.

However ‘heartache’ is on the cards when Ben finishes off the meal and Danielle says in shock: ‘Did you just take the last slice of pizza?’

‘I didn’t think you’d want it,’ Ben protests, to which Danielle tearfully says: ‘I wanted you to want me to want it!’ before storming off.

Eventually Danielle finds herself all alone in Panera listlessly drinking a cup of coffee – when Ben appears in the window to make up with her.

He can be seen holding an open box of pizza where a message is displayed for her on a set of cardboard cue cards in a nod to Love Actually.

‘YOU’RE THE PIZZA I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED,’ reads his message, as the voiceover says: ‘Just when you thought Valentine’s Day couldn’t get any cheesier….’

After they mend fences Danielle dramatically tells Ben: ‘You had me at pepperoni,’ spoofing Renee Zellweger’s line: ‘You had me at hello,’ from Jerry Maguire.

Ben led the cast of Boy Meets World as the title character Cory Matthews throughout the seven-season run from 1993 to 2000.

Danielle featured as his love interest Topanga Matthews throughout the seven seasons as well, with her character and Cory eventually getting married.

They got together again for the Disney Channel spin-off Girl Meets World which was broadcast for three seasons from 2014 to 2017.

The new Panera ad was a reunion in more ways than one as it also afforded Ben a chance to work with his brother Fred Savage who was directing.

‘Having Fred be there, and Danielle, who I grew up with…it was such a fun experience because it really is like being with family,’ Ben told People.

‘And you don’t really get those opportunities often, in this business, to work with people you’ve grown up with,’ he gushed.

Danielle will be ringing in Valentine’s Day with her sizzling husband Jensen Karp and their one-year-old son Adler.

Referring to her son she said: ‘I bought him some homemade valentines, and we are going to make little valentines to send to his friends and grandmothers.’
