YouTubers Brett, Scott and Derek staged the stunt to demonstrate just how powerful airbags are when they inflate during a car crash.
A video shows the Australian trio put the ball on top of an airbag in the middle of an outdoor clearing and set it off from a distance.
As it rockets 246ft (75m) into the air, the men gasp and scream: ‘What the heck’ and ‘That was beautiful’.

The bowling bowl, which weighs around 1st 2lb (7.2kg), shoots up for 3.92 seconds before plummeting back down to earth, with a total travel time of 7.85 seconds.
It travelled at 42.7mph and was captured on camera using a drone.
The trio started their YouTube channel How Ridiculous to showcase their best stunts in 2009.
On average airbags deploy at a speed of between 100mph and 220mph – so they can mitigate the devastating effects of vehicle on vehicle impact.
