Why Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff doesn’t drink alcohol

It appeared that Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Sobinoff did not touch a drop of alcohol at her wedding to Seb Guilhaus during Monday night’s episode of Married At First Sight.

Early scenes saw the bride’s glassware empty at the reception, while later footage showed off a full glass of Champagne.

The brunette previously told Who magazine that she has been ‘completely sober’ since age 24 as alcohol can trigger her autoimmune disease.

‘I have photosensitivity. It’s an autoimmune disease and is a mild cousin of lupus,’ Lizzie revealed in January last year.

The jewellery store manager, who has dramatically slimmed down since appearing on the 2019 season of MAFS, added that her weight can increase by six kilograms.

With gluten and alcohol triggering the disease, Lizzie revealed that she abstains from alcohol, saying: ‘I’ve been completely sober since I was 24.’

During Monday night’s episode, Lizzie ‘wed’ former footy player Seb, 30, in Sydney.

The couple said their vows at a gorgeous outdoor setting, before making their way to a beautifully decorated room inside Curzon Hall.

While Seb enjoyed a beer as he got to know his ‘wife’ at the bridal table, Lizzie’s glass was empty.

Another reason for abstaining from alcohol could be down to keeping a level head.
