Whitney Port announces she had a miscarriage… less than two years after another pregnancy loss

Whitney Port announced she had a miscarriage, in a statement posted on her Instagram page on Monday, January 4.

The reality star, 35, who suffered a miscarriage last year, revealed the second miscarriage alongside a boomerang of palm trees blowing in the wind.

The former Hills star said: ‘Sadly, I lost the pregnancy,’ and wrote that ‘last time’ she didn’t feel ready for another child but this time she had ‘really connected.’

Whitney had started off the statement with: ‘Hey, Everyone. This is not an easy one. We decided to start vlogging for our YouTube channel a couple months ago to share two stories: Renovating a new house and a new pregnancy journey. Sadly, I lost the pregnancy.’

‘Timmy and I weren’t sure if we still wanted to put this out there. I wasn’t sure I wanted to relive the pain. However, this time around, I felt differently about the situation. Last time, I don’t think I was ready to have another child, and I had different feelings about the miscarriage. This time, I really connected.’ 

The mother of one said: ‘I was actually excited and enjoying the pregnancy. I envisioned it all. I’m sad but I’m ok and we will try again. So here’s our story.’

Whitney noted: ‘I also have so much sadness in my heart for anyone that has to go through this or has gone though this. I know though that our community will share, band together and support – cause you always do.’

She concluded with: ‘We ended up putting the footage into 5 mini episodes and plan to post one a day, today-Friday. Love you guys. link in bio.’

Whitney and her husband Tim Rosenman are parents to son Sonny, three.

Whitney said in her post Monday that she had documented her pregnancy in a series of vlogs, which she still opted to publish after much consideration.

In the first vlog, Whitney had in writing prior to the start of the video: ‘A few months ago Timmy and I found out I was pregnant. We were so happy. I was sure I was having a girl, and connected to that idea and feeling immediately.’

‘We had also just closed on a small house that we were going to renovate, and thought it would be fun to share both stories with you guys.’

‘Sadly, I lost the pregnancy. After a lot of consideration, we decided to still make the videos.’

During the almost 12 minute video, Whitney and Timmy talk about her pregnancy as well as briefly speaking on their new renovation project, with their son Sonny making an appearance as well. 

In July 2019, Whitney announced she suffered a miscarriage, revealing the news on an Instagram post.

She had written: ‘This is really hard for me to write. Two weeks ago, I had a miscarriage. The amount of various emotions I felt in the past couple weeks have been extreme… from shock to sadness to relief, which then led to guilt for feeling that relief. My identity has been shaken in regards to who as a mom and human being.’
