‘We couldn’t have made it without you’: Phoebe Burgess thanks sister in touching tribute

Phoebe Burgess has paid tribute to her sister Hattie saying that she ‘couldn’t have made it without [her]’, amid her challenging year with ex-husband Sam Burgess.

On Thursday, the doting mum posted a string of photos to Instagram of her sister and her children to celebrate Hattie’s birthday.  

The 31-year-old shared a stunning picture of her sister who was beaming in a bright yellow dress. 

‘Happy (late as in yesterday) birthday to my little Hattie,’ she captioned the picture. 

A following photo featured Hattie hugging Phoebe’s daughter Poppy, three, with the caption: ‘We adore you’.  

‘We couldn’t have done it without you,’ Phoebe captioned a third picture featuring herself and her sister hugging Poppy and her one-year-old son Billy.

Phoebe was all smiles in the photo, as she looked glamorous in a floral maxi dress and sunglasses. 

Meanwhile, Billy looked sweet in a brown romper while Poppy opted for a blue floral sundress. 

Phoebe’s post comes amid her challenging year with ex-husband Sam Burgess. 

The Rabbitohs star is accused of intimidating Phoebe’s father Mitchell Hooke at the 64-year-old’s Southern Highlands home in October last year.

The 31-year-old is also charged with common assault in relation to the same alleged incident.

Burgess has pleaded not guilty to both charges.

He is also fighting to access an explosive statement his ex-wife gave police containing unrelated allegations of domestic violence – parts of which were published in The Australian last month.
