Rebecca Judd reveals her children are ‘nervous’ about returning to school after months of remote learning during Melbourne’s COVID-19 lockdown

Rebecca Judd’s four children recently returned to school after months of remote learning during Melbourne’s stage-four lockdown.

And the footy WAG, 37, claims her youngsters were initially scared to leave the comfort of home-schooling for the real thing.

On Tuesday’s 3pm Pick-Up, Rebecca revealed that her eldest son, Oscar, nine, was particularly concerned about socialising with people outside his family.

She told her co-host Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond that her children were a little apprehensive about being around other kids again.

‘My Oscar said, “I feel excited, but a bit nervous to talk to people,”‘ she explained.

Rebecca added: ‘They hadn’t socialised with anyone but our family unit for so long.’

Bec could finally take a sign of relief earlier this month as her son Oscar, nine, daughter Billie, six, and Twins Tom and Darcey, four, finally went back to school.

Celebrating the momentous occasion on Instagram, Rebecca uploaded a black-and-white photo of her children beaming together in their school uniforms.

‘It feels like the first day of school,’ chirped Rebecca in the caption.

‘So proud of all the Melbourne teachers, parents/carers but most of all students. The resilience they’ve shown for the endless months of learning from home has been unbelievable,’ she continued.

With her children finally out of the house, Rebecca is no doubt looking forward to enjoying a moment of solitude.

The multi-tasking mother has made no secret of her struggles during lockdown, posting to Instagram in July: ‘Home school finishes at three and I will have a glass of rosé in my hand at 3:01pm!’

Weeks earlier, she shared several photos to Instagram of her eldest children, Oscar and Billie, being home-schooled via Zoom.

One image showed Oscar at his makeshift desk in his bedroom, and Rebecca joked that the boy’s teachers should ‘use their mute button frequently’.

‘Term three coming at ya,’ she wrote. ‘What a year. 2020 can f**k right off.’
