TOWIE’s Bobby Norris says he is still suffering Covid symptoms three weeks after positive test

TOWIE’s Bobby Norris says he is still suffering Covid symptoms three weeks after positive test… as he insists he WON’T be following his reality star pals to Dubai for ‘moral reasons’

TOWIE’s Bobby Norris has revealed he is still struggling with Covid symptoms three weeks after he first tested positive for the virus.

The reality personality, 34, spoke about his experience on Thursday’s FUBAR Radio, where he admitted he has ‘never felt so rough’ and discussed his reality star pals jetting out to Dubai to escape the strict UK lockdown.

Speaking to co-host Stephen Leng on Access All Areas about his battle, he detailed his experience with the virus: ‘I tested positive and kind of slept through Christmas and New Year.

‘I’ve honestly never felt so rough in my life. I think some days I was sleeping like twelve, fourteen hours. But the only good thing about that is that you don’t feel rough when you are asleep. So, I kind of just dealt with it, like I said.’

Bobby told his Instagram followers on December 22 he was feeling awful after testing positive, but is still feeling the effects three weeks later.

He said: ‘I still can’t smell or taste. The headaches were horrendous. Thankfully, I don’t generally suffer from migraines, but I feel so sorry for people that do because I’ve never known, like literally just the throbbing and the drilling headache.

‘And there’s kind of days when, I think by about day five, my breathing started to get quite bad.’

Despite not feeling completely recovered, the Essex native did note: ‘It wasn’t nice, it wasn’t pleasant. But thankfully I’m on the mend, feeling a lot better than I was.’

Bobby went on to encourage listeners to ‘do their bit’ because there is light at the end of the tunnel, in reference to the vaccine which is currently being rolled out.

Many of Bobby’s co-stars and reality star pals have fled the country in search of warmer climes and Bobby admitted he won’t be joining them anytime soon.

When asked what he made of it, he explained: ‘There’s a lot of anger towards it. I can see why a lot of people are upset. I haven’t left the country or anything. I haven’t decided to do it… It’s a hard one to talk about. It’s a real hard one. Would I do it? No.’

Although he mainly held his tongue, Bobby didn’t shy at the opportunity to throw a bit of shade at the situation: ‘I mean amazing that it just so happens to fall over Christmas and New Year… When people are doing paid posts and ads on social media platforms, I guess it kind of does fall into a work category.’

He finished by adding: ‘It is a morally, a personal thing, what you think. And as you say, it is a really hard one for me to answer because I know several people who are out there or have been. It’s so close to home now that I think that that is probably where a lot of the upset is coming from.’

The TV star has been subject to a significant amount of trolling over the years and this didn’t die down after he announced he’d caught Covid-19.

He was ‘accused of being paid five thousand pounds by the government’ to tell his followers that he had Covid, something which happened to ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona too.

Speaking of the strange accusations, Bobby said: ‘I was laughing because it is that ridiculous… Who is handing out these five grands? What are you talking about?’.

He was quick to make light of the situation, adding: ‘Boris hasn’t transferred anything as yet… Maybe he got the wrong sort code, who knows?’
