Toni Pearen is repeatedly bitten on the face by a snake during a challenge on I’m A Celebrity

After admitting she had a fear of snakes, Toni Pearen then found herself coming face-to-face with them during a terrifying challenge on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The 48-year-old actress was forced to stick her head in a perspex box, while pythons crawled around her head.

And as she struggled to stay calm, one of the snakes repeatedly launched itself at Toni’s face, biting her nose and cheeks.

The former E Street actress became visibly distressed during the horrific incident, crying and repeatedly screaming, ‘Oh my God!’

After finally being allowed to remove her head from the box, Toni folded over and began to shake.

‘Can we have the medic, please?’ called out concerned host Julia Morris to one of the show’s producers.

A medic then ran over and began tending to Toni’s wounds with what was most likely antiseptic, with bite marks visible on her face.

‘You have to get me home to my kids!’ she sobbed.

Fellow host Chris Brown assured Toni that the bites weren’t venomous, as Julia, 52, urged her co-stars to hug and comfort her.

‘I didn’t expect that today. It’s like when I said I hate snakes, they just went, “B***h!”‘ laughed Toni after managing to calm down.

Appearing on The Project on Tuesday, Chris, 42, spoke about Toni’s snake attack, and revealed she was bitten five times. 

The veterinarian explained that it was a juvenile jungle carpet python, and was probably just curious about Toni being there.  

‘The thing about these snakes is when they are young, they have teeth, they just don’t really know how to use them,’ he explained. 

‘So he was a little bit surprised to have Toni Pearen in the flesh there, and bit her just out of interest, really. 

‘A bit of a mistaken identity situation. And then when the first bite obviously tasted good he went back for four more!’
