The Voice’s Guy Sebastian mocks Kelly Rowland’s over-the-top dress

Tension was rife between The Voice coaches Guy Sebastian and Kelly Rowland during Monday night’s episode.

As they fought over contestant Soma Sutton, Guy couldn’t help but mock Kelly’s over-the-top blue dress with statement shoulders.

Getting out a water pistol, the Battle Scars singer, 38, told Kelly: ‘If you’re going to dress like a starfish, then expect to get wet!’    

Kelly made a glamorous appearance on the show, opting for a vibrant blue mini-dress with a plunging neckline and oversized shoulders. 

Tension between Guy and Kelly, 39, escalated when they both hoped to secure 26-year-old Soma Sutton on their team. 

Luck was in Kelly’s favour when Soma decided to go with Kelly.

‘Guess what, she’s mine!’ the Destiny’s Child star directed at Guy, to which he responded: ‘You’ll screw it up! She’ll come crawling to Team Guy.’

Wanting to have the last word, Guy got out a water pistol and began aiming it at Kelly.

‘If you’re going to dress like a starfish, then expect to get wet!’ he said. 

Guy later admitted in a piece to camera that Kelly is his ‘nemesis’ on the show.

‘I’m definitely competitive. Each coach I feel has a nemesis. For me it’s Kelly Rowland.

‘I just hate going up against her, she’s definitely been different this year.

‘She doesn’t just want the straight up RnB acts, she’s choosing a lot of different artists. It’s hard to win a battle against her.’
