The Veronicas exude gothic glamour as they hit the hairdressers ahead of The Voice Australia

They’ve been announced as guest mentors on The Voice Australia after travel restrictions made it impossible for judges Boy George and Kelly Rowland to return to Australia.

And after weeks of lockdown, the Veronicas’ Jess and Lisa Origliasso, 35, hit the hairdressers for some pampering on Tuesday ahead of their hotly anticipated debut on the reality show.

Exuding gothic vibes, Lisa kept it cool in a tight black crop top which complemented her choppy raven fringe – while her twin cut an equally edgy figure in a chic black Balenciaga jumper.

Lisa added to her off-duty look with a pair of loose-fitting black trousers and wrapped up warm in a chunky brown and black tartan coat as she left the hairdressers.

Despite the chillier winter climes, Lisa completed her ensemble with a pair of chic shades as she chatted away to her sister and her husband Logan Huffman.

Meanwhile, strolling along in a pair of chunky boots, Jess added a pair of tight grey cable knit leggings to her high end jumper.

On Monday, it was announced by The Sydney Morning Herald that The Voice Australia would be introducing The Veronicas and Marcia Hines as guest mentors after filming of the singing series was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It comes as regular Voice coaches, Boy George and Kelly Rowland, are unable to return to Australia from their homes in London and Los Angeles respectively, with travel restrictions still in place.

George, 58, and Kelly , 39, will still appear in the series and have been coaching their teams remotely via FaceTime and satellite.

The Voice’s other two coaches, Guy Sebastian and Delta Goodrem, haven’t been impacted as both are based in Australia.

The Veronicas will mentor Team George, while Marcia, 66, will mentor Kelly’s contestants.

Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald, George confessed coaching remotely would be an adjustment, but he was willing to put his trust in twins Jess and Lisa.

‘We’re just going to try to make it work. I’ll still be able to enjoy the performances, still give my advice in terms of mentoring,’ he said.

‘And I’m going to entrust The Veronicas to carry that message. At the end of the day, we’re going to do everything to make it as fun and as entertaining as possible.’
