The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson shares her VERY embarrassing text fail – after she used the voice-to-text option to send a message

Lisa Wilkinson has co-hosted Channel Ten’s The Project since 2018.

And while she hasn’t experienced many awkward encounters on the live television show, the 60-year-old was left embarrassed off camera on Thursday.

The TV host revealed she made a text message error on Instagram after she used the voice-to-text option to send her message.

Lisa was signing off her text message with ‘warmest Lisa’, but accidentally sent  ‘warm mist’ instead.

‘That moment you realise your voice-to-text via Siri resulted in you sending someone you hardly know, your “warm mist”,’ she wrote.

She continued: ‘And no I haven’t heard back from him. No doubt the poor guy is in therapy as we speak.’

Lisa made the move to The Project in 2018, after a reported gender pay gap dispute involving her former co-host Karl Stefanovic on Channel Nine’s Today.

In March, the 60-year-old host said that women are appreciated in the industry, now more than ever.

‘I’m thrilled that at the age I now am, I’ve never felt more valued as an employee, more engaged with what I do and never felt more excited about what’s ahead because, clearly, I’m in my second half now,’ she told Stellar magazine.

In the interview, Lisa also said she relishes not having to wake up anymore at dawn to present on television.

‘I’ve got these new reserves of energy and I feel challenged and invigorated. I love it when the alarm goes off and I see the number seven at the front. I wouldn’t change any of it.’

And while she didn’t reveal the reason why she defected from Nine, Lisa did say who she remains ‘extremely close’ to from her time on Today.

She said she’s very much in touch with Ben Fordham and Sylvia Jeffreys, but timing ‘hasn’t worked’ for catching up with Karl Stefanovic or Georgie Gardner.
