She may have only entered the jungle on Tuesday night, but it appears Alli Simpson had other places to be and people to see.
According to The Courier Mail, the 22-year-old actor, presenter and singer was meant to film horror flick The Possessed, but turned it down in order to join I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
‘It’s something I’ve always thought about doing,’ Alli said of her decision to enter the jungle. ‘It’s been on the cards for a few years and I’ve been hesitant.’

The news site reports she was expected to star alongside actors John Jarratt, Lincoln Lewis and Angie Kent, before she accepted the offer to join the Channel 10 reality show.
‘Everything happens for a reason and it popped up and I thought it’d be a really awesome end to the year, which has been slow because of COVID.’
In the past, Alli admitted she had said no to the show due to her phobia of insects, particularly cockroaches.
‘Because I have such serious fears of them that’s always been my biggest hesitation,’ she added.
‘I knew I’d be faced with them. I was prepared for that, but … there was definitely a lot of crying and screaming.’

Despite being labelled a ‘Hollywood star’, viewers were left scratching their heads trying to figure out who Alli was when she entered the jungle on Tuesday.
Unable to recognise Alli at first glance, frustrated fans flocked to social media to vent their frustration.
‘Who is Alli Simpson?’ one viewer tweeted. ‘Crickets… Alli who?’ added a second.

Alli is the younger sister of pop star Cody Simpson, who regularly shares beauty videos with her 1.2million Instagram followers.
Upon entering the jungle, Alli was greeted by her fellow campmates, all excited to see her.
Speaking to hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown, the Instagram sensation revealed she was ‘mates’ with Jack Vidgen and Abbie Chatfield.
‘Oh, my God, look at her! She’s clean,’ an excited Abbie said.
