‘She tastes like Windex!’ Larry Emdur celebrates The Morning Show’s 13th birthday by giving a poster of co-host Kylie Gillies a prolonged kiss
The Morning Show has been gracing Australian television for 13 years.
And on Thursday, host Larry Emdur, 55, celebrated the show’s momentous ‘birthday’ by kissing a poster of his ‘co-host with the co-most’, Kylie Gillies, 53.
In a video posted to his Instagram, Larry spoke about the Channel Seven program’s humble beginnings, thanked its many fans, and praised Kylie before moving in and giving a poster of her a prolonged smooch.

‘Hi everybody, huge day for us here on the Morning Show,’ Larry began.
‘Today we are 13 years old. It’s our birthday, now 13 years ago we came on as this three or six month little experiment, and here we are…’
He continued: ‘I wanted to jump on and thank you for your support over the years.’
Larry went on to explain that he and Kylie didn’t celebrate on Thursday’s show as there were ‘more important things going on in the world’, before thanking his fans, the show’s crew and his long-standing co-host.

‘Because of social distancing, I can’t give her a big kiss so this will have to do. Happy birthday Kyl,’ Larry said.
The loveable larrikin then closed his eyes, and moved towards a promotional poster of the pair and planted several kisses on the photo frame.
‘She tastes like Windex,’ he joked, stepping away from the frame.

His glamorous co-host took it all in good jest.
‘We are still sparkly as ever… must be the Windex,’ Kylie commented alongside the post, before adding: ‘Happy birthday brother. Love our show. Love our team. Luv ya.’
Over on her Instagram page, Kylie shared a picture of the pair holding a long measuring tape while giving each other a socially distanced fist-bump.

Kylie cut a stylish figure in a magenta button-up blouse and pale pink slacks.
‘A socially distanced celebration,’ Kylie wrote in the caption.
She added: ’13 years of The Morning Show.. how lucky are we? Thanks everyone – our viewers and our team- for making us #1.
‘And Laz, thanks for forgiving me when I released that tape measure by mistake… but Gladys needed it back in a hurry. Nowhere else I’d rather be.’
The Morning Show airs weekdays at 9am on Channel Seven.
