Well, that’s awkward! Teaser for new season of The Block sees contestant explain her ‘partner’ is actually her father after one blockhead comments ‘he’s punching above his weight’

Hit Channel Nine renovation show The Block is set to come back bigger and better than ever in 2020.

And a dramatic new promo released by the network this week shows one gorgeous new contestant is forced to awkwardly explain her relationship with her partner.

The footage opens on a stunning blonde driving up with an older man. ‘Meet Melbourne’s Harry and Tash, The Block’s first ever…’ a voice-over begins.

Well, that’s awkward! In a teaser for the new season of The Block, a contestant is forced to explain her ‘partner’ is actually her father after one blockhead commented ‘he’s punching a bit above his weight’. Pictured: father-daughter duo Harry and Tash

Seeing Tash, 32, hop out of the car, the other contestants take the opportunity to check out the competition.

‘An attractive young couple,’ comments one man, before a woman chips in: ‘She’s beautiful.’

Then a third ‘blockhead’ adds, ‘He’s punching a bit above his weight’, leaving Tash to awkwardly explain the truth behind her and Harry’s relationship.

‘Can we just get one thing straight — he’s my dad!’ she declares, revealing they are the first-ever father and daughter duo to appear on the program.

Meanwhile, it appears it won’t be long before there is some friction on set.

The teaser trailer also shows a highly exasperated Tash try and teach her father how to use FaceTime over a call.

Harry is later seen repeatedly calling out her name while an exasperated Tash begs, ‘Just give me one second’.
