TALK OF THE TOWN: Swipe right if you want to date Lady Eliza Manners on Hinge
Who is going to believe an online dating profile that claims to be of a 23-year-old aristocratic beauty who grew up in a castle, comes from a family worth £300 million and is desperate for love? Well, for once it’s true! I can reveal that Lady Eliza Manners – whose family home is Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire and father is the super-wealthy Duke Of Rutland – has joined popular dating app Hinge.
I have no idea why Eliza, who along with sisters Violet and Alice enjoys a wild lifestyle that earned them the nickname ‘the bad Manners’ – feels the need to look online for love: she is already regarded as one of the most eligible girls in Britain.
Still, her online profile reveals a few things we didn’t know. Eliza says she’s afraid of the dark and has vowed never to go on a juice or fasting diet again.
It was all looking like a perfect match until Eliza made this pronouncement: Game Of Thrones is ‘the worst show ever’. Sorry Lady E, but most men will be swiping left for that remark…

It’s not a gift you’ll find on a John Lewis wedding list, but the aristocratic future father-in-law of heiress Hanna Jaff is celebrating her upcoming union with his son by sculpting a bronze bust of her. Hanna, 33, is engaged to Harry, 34-year-old son of sculptor David Roper-Curzon, heir to the title Baron Teynham.
The couple are dubbed ‘the new Meghan and Harry’ as she’s American and he’s ginger – and she has been sitting for David at family seat Pylewell Hall in Hampshire.
David tells me: ‘It’s much harder to sculpt an unlined face like Hanna’s.’
She’ll clearly be a model wife!
