Superstore star Ben Feldman reveals he underwent spine surgery and now has two artificial discs

Superstore star Ben Feldman announced this Thursday that he underwent spinal surgery on Monday in Newport, California.

The 40-year-old thanked his surgeon Dr. Robert Bray for his work and assured his Instagram followers that ‘things are good.’

His message was accompanied by an album that began with a picture of him in his hospital bed before he was discharged.

Ben also included a snap of himself posing alongside the surgeon, with both of them keeping their masks on amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Broadway veteran also posted pictures of himself back home in post-op recovery, with bandages still visible on his neck.

‘So some Me news: on Monday, an incredible surgeon in Newport (dr Robert Bray) opened up my neck, drilled out some calcified bone & 2 s***ty discs in my spine, popped in 2 artificial discs & sewed me back up,’ he wrote.

‘It was horrifying but I’m alive & lots of friends/family sending me food that I can swallow, which is a v underrated category of food (slippery).’

Ben is at home with his wife of nearly seven years Michelle Mulitz, their two-year-old son Charlie and their one-year-old daughter.

Although Ben and Michelle announced their little girl’s birth last May they have decided not to publicly disclose her name.

He wrote in his Instagram caption that Michelle ‘is an incredible (& patient) nurse & sometimes when she’s unavailable, Charlie will bring his toy dr bag up to my room & give me a “shot”. Anyway things are good.’

Ben’s new Instagram album included a sweet picture in which he sat down to a bowl of soup while his toddler enjoyed a full solid lunch beside him.

The Maryland native also posted a screenshot showing that he had Googled: ‘how much is too much stool softener.’
