Spectacular shots have been released from Steven Spielberg’s much-anticipated film.

Baby Driver star Ansel Elgort, 26, plays her love interest Tony.

Spielberg has written in a number of black characters.

The musical, famous for Leonard Bernstein songs including America and Maria, tells the love story of two youngsters from rival New York gangs. 

The remake is released on December 18.
