Sia dons trademark wig and quirky dress with snaps of dogs all over it at MTV Movie & TV Awards

Sia featured her usual bizarre style on Sunday when she put on a show-stopping performance at the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

The 44-year-old singer and songwriter belted out a playful version of her new single Hey Boy, which is featured in her upcoming directorial debut film Music.

The green-screened number was filled with funny canine touches and included a bevy of dancers crawling around in dog suits.

All eyes on her: Sia, 44, featured her usual bizarre style on Sunday when she put on a show-stopping performance of her new single Hey You at the MTV Movie & TV Awards

Although she sometimes shows her face in public when she’s not performing, Sia wore one of her standard wigs with bangs long enough to just barely expose her mouth.

She was covered up in a floor-length tan dress that highlighted her hourglass figure, with a voluminous tulle skirt that spread out across the platform she was standing on.

To match the performance’s dog theme, she had photos of cute pooches pinned to her dress with their names scrawled in black ink.

The Australian musician rounded out her look with a massive pink bow on top of her head.

Sia was situation in front of a large screen projecting a fantasy paradise for dogs, with plenty of green grass to roam on and a pink fire hydrant towering behind her while gigantic tennis balls bounced about.

As she stayed stationary and sang, a troupe of four dancers came out in suits made to look like Komondors, a kind of Hungarian sheep dog with instantly recognizable fur that naturally twists into long mop-like tassels.

The large dogs are best known from the cover of Beck’s 1996 album Odelay, in which one of the dogs jumps over a hurdle, looking like a large mop sailing through the air.

The dancers rolled around in the digital grass before standing up on two feet.

Introducing Sia’s performance was her longtime collaborator Maddie Ziegler, who has performed in multiple music videos for her.

She’ll also be featured in one of the lead performances in Sia’s new film Music, which she directed and co-wrote.

Maddie stars as Music, a non-verbal autistic girl who is sent to live with her half-sister Zu (Kate Hudson) after her grandmother dies.

Hamilton’s Leslie Odom Jr. also stars as Zu’s helpful neighbor.

The film, which will be released in IMAX theaters in February, has already been criticized by some disability advocates for casting a non-autistic actor in the role of Music.

The stripped-down awards show’s only other performances came from the duo of DJ Steve Aoki and drummer Travis Barker.

William Zabka of The Karate Kid fame won an award for his Netflix series Cobra Kai, so the two performed a rocking rendition of You’re The Best, which was featured in Karate Kid.

The song, performed by Joe Esposito and written by Bill Conti and Allee Willis, didn’t appear to have changed significantly, though Barker provided heavier drum beats.

The two were dressed in spooky black and white skeleton costumes, with their faces painted like skulls, though it wasn’t obvious why they chose that look for the song.

Steve and Travis looked more casual earlier in the show, when they performed a short version of Footloose, after Kevin Bacon won the Dance Your A** Off award for his performance in the movie of the same name.

Steve wore a white sweatshirt with black sweatpants, while travis had on a white graphic T-shirt over a black and white plaid shirt and dark pants.

The two musicians have collaborated before, and in March they released the pop-punk single Halfway Dead.
