Selma Blair and Jaime King support one another during tough times on outing together in Hollywood

They have been friends for more than 20 years.

And while Selma Blair has her own challenges with multiple sclerosis, she is still providing a shoulder to lean on for Jaime King as she goes through a contentious marriage breakup.

The two actresses went shopping together in the Hollywood Hills on Thursday, walking arm in arm as they left a store on famed Laurel Canyon.

Blair, who revealed in October 2018 that she had been diagnosed with MS, walked with the aid of a cane.

The 47-year-old Cruel Intentions and Hellboy star was dressed in a pale gray sweatshirt and cream cropped drawstring pants.

She added Smiley Face black socks and white tennis shoes and wore a striped cloth face mask. 

King, 41, paired navy shorts with a faux fur midnight blue short coat and black fur-trimmed shoes.

She completed her ensemble with a jaunty gray beret and a medical face mask. 

Blair spoke about her friendship with King in a July 2019 People article where she described how grateful she was for the love and support shown to her by her female friends as she received treatment for MS.

‘It’s been everything to me,’ she told the magazine, adding that King was sending her weekly flowers arrangements as well as visiting her during treatment sessions.

Now it seems Blair is able to pay her close friend back by being there to support her after she filed for divorce from husband Kyle Newman, alleging he’d abused her during the last five years of their 12-year marriage. 

The contentious break-up has seen Newman counter-claim that King is an addict and alcoholic who has endangered their two sons.

The director has been caring for James Knight, six, and Leo Thames, four, in Pennsylvania.

A judge recently extended a temporary restraining order king requested against Newman until a court hearing on June 29. 

But while her personal life is in turmoil, King’s career has taken a leap.

Last week, Deadline.com reported that the 41-year-old actress has been cast to star opposite Bruce Willis in the movie Out Of Death. 

It’s a major boost for the former model turned actress who most recently has been seen in the small screen shows Hart Of Dixie on The CW and Netflix’s Black Summer. 

Principal photography will begin once Willis completes work on the drama Midnight In The Switchgrass which has begun shooting in Puerto Rico in March before being halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And before she can start filming with Willis, King is expected to complete production on the second season of Black Summer on which she also serves as a producer.
