Scream 2 vet Rebecca Gayheart wears a mask after buying a cute pink toy for her daughter

Rebecca Gayheart was seen leaving a drugstore in Beverly Hills on Monday with her mini-me daughter Georgia Dane, aged eight.

The Urban Legend actress wore a blue patterned mask as she held onto a plastic shopping bag.

And her little girl – whom she had with Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane, seemed to be in good spirits as she held up a new light pink stuffed animal her 48-year-old mom had just purchased for her.

The Scream 2 actress also had on a thick pair of gloves as well as prescription glasses.

And she put on a chic show as was dressed on a dark grey winter coat over a cable knit sweater in beige, ripped jeans, and mules. She added a bright cherry red crossbody bag.

The cover girl pulled up her highlighted hair into a ponytail.

Her daughter had on a beige sweater with a scarf tied around her neck and a canary yellow pleated skirt that could not be missed.

She added colorful sneakers and wore her long, wavy blonde hair down.

The pink toy still had the price tag on its ear.

Not seen was the star’s 12-year-old daughter Billie.

Rebecca and Eric split up in 2018 but have remained amicable co-parents and are looking after their children together during lockdown.

In March Eric shared an Instagram snap of himself ‘Social Distancing’ – standing on a wood balcony rail and staring at a breathtaking forest view.

The actor and Rebecca got married in 2008 and in February of 2018 she filed for divorce, requesting joint custody and spousal support.

It emerged this New Year’s Day that their divorce was still pending and they had not scheduled any hearings, according to The Blast.

Last June Rebecca was informed that her divorce case was in danger of being thrown out, Entertainment Tonight reported citing court documents.

‘If you fail to take the appropriate steps in your case, the court may dismiss your case for delay in prosecution,’ she was told in what was her third warning.

The divorce called for a series of judgment documents and disclosure forms that Rebecca had neglected to turn in.

A few months after her initial divorce filing she told Us Weekly she wanted to begin working again as ‘I think that as a female you need to be able to always take care of of yourself and never depend on a man.’

The Scream actress shared: ‘I’m going back to work and I think it’s partly because I want my daughters to see me work. I took some time off to have my kids.’

She since had a brief part in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood as Billie, the late wife of Brad Pitt’s character Cliff Booth, who may have killed her.

On the question of whether Cliff murdered Billie, Rebecca told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Obviously we have an answer to that, but I don’t want to spoil it.’

Last year she made a rare public comment on her 2001 car accident that claimed a nine-year-old boy’s life.

The actress spoke candidly of feeling suicidal in the wake of the crash, when speaking on The Only One In The Room podcast.

‘I just didn’t want to live after that accident,’ said the mother-of-two.

Speaking to host Laura Cathcart Robbins, the Kentucky native was totally transparent in her discussion of the tragic accident.

‘I had a very terrible accident happen. A 9-year-old child died. And, you know, everything changed from that and, you know, I still have trouble talking about it, obviously, so if I get emotional, I apologize,’ began Rebecca.

‘And that, you know, changed me. And, luckily, I came out the other side and really positive things have happened in my life since then.’

The actress was charged with vehicular manslaughter after hitting and killing a nine-year-old boy at a Hollywood intersection in 2001.

Jorge Cruz Jr. was struck by Gayheart’s car as he crossed the street, dying the next day from his injuries.

The star actress pleaded no contest and was sentenced to three years probation, one year license suspension, a $2800 fine and 750 hours of community service.

Rebecca settled a wrongful death lawsuit brought against her by Jorge’s parents in 2002, and also paid for the boy’s medical expenses and funeral.

‘I struggle with the “Why?” still,’ Rebecca explained.  ‘I still replay it in my head of, “Had I stopped at the gas station, maybe I wouldn’t have been on that street.” You know, those things never go away — they stay with you forever and I did not cope very well after.’

‘Listen, I just didn’t want to live after that accident.’

‘That’s what it came down to. I couldn’t handle it at all. So I spent about a year just trying to kill myself, basically, by doing every self-destructive thing a person can do,’ admitted the Urban Legend star.

‘I just didn’t understand; I didn’t understand any of it, like, I had led, you know, sort of a charmed life up until then, even though I grew up dirt poor,’ said Gayheart.

‘It just turned my world upside down and I lost faith in everything, like, I questioned God, like, “Why me? Why Jorge?”’

She then revealed she had been able to find some measure of peace with her past.  ‘Today, I am able to ponder those questions and still realize that I deserve to be happy,’ Rebecca concluded. ‘That I am meant to be on this planet and that I have a purpose and I’m making, living amends for that, even though it was an accident.’
