EXCLUSIVE: The Block’s Scott Cam FINALLY reveals whether or not he quietly purchased Jimmy and Tam’s $4.2million Brighton home after sale to cyber security expert Emese Fajk fell through

Scott Cam has rubbished rumours he ‘saved the day’ by buying The Block’s Jimmy and Tam Wilkins’ $4.2million Brighton property after they were forced to put it back on the market.

His manager, Chris Giannopoulos, told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that the rumours are ‘not to believed’ and that Scott, 58, did not purchase the property, after cyber security expert Emese Fajk failed to pay up.

‘It’s pretty simple. The rumours are not true. It’s unfounded,’ he said.

Giannopoulos explained the Channel Nine star has been unable to comment on the situation himself as he is away on holidays.

‘He’s away for a few days and is unavailable for comment,’ he explained.

The iconic tradesman – and the face of the show for more than a decade – has previously purchased properties renovated by the show’s contestants.

On Monday, New Idea claimed that the Logie-winning host saved the day by secretly purchasing the Melbourne mansion for himself, after cyber security expert Emese Fajk failed to pay up.

‘Scott’s involved in the show, so there would be no need for a real estate agent to transact (the property). If he has bought it, it wouldn’t surprise me,’ McGrath St Kilda principal Michael Townsend told the publication.

Fajk – who claims to have worked with Apple and the United Nations – initially bought the home at auction for a show record of $4,256,000.

But just days before Christmas, both the 28-year-old’s settlement and deposit payments failed to go through.

Jimmy and Tam were left in the unenviable position of having to find a buyer for the prestige home right as the summer holiday period began.
