Scarlett Moffatt insists she’s not ‘panicking’ about turning 30 and reveals her relationship with boyfriend Scott Dobinson is better than ever

Scarlett Moffatt has insisted she’s not ‘panicking’ about turning 30 this year.

The 29-year-old presenter appeared on Lorraine on Monday and discussed how things are going with her boyfriend Scott Dobinson, as well as her experience on Celebrity Bake Off.

The star revealed she’s in the best place she’s ever been in and isn’t wasting time worrying about the future.

Host Lorraine Kelly commented that things between Scarlett and Scott, who she has been dating for over a year, seem to be going really well.

Scarlett said: ‘I feel like I’m probably a bit quiet about it because it is going so well.’

She added: ‘I’m 30 this year and I feel like some people panic into thinking life’s a checklist and you’ve got to have got married and had kids by a certain age and it’s not like that. It can be any age.’

‘I’m not saying it doesn’t affect us, it does, but I feel like a big thing for me is self-care, which I always thought was a bit hippy.

‘It is important to read the positive things and take yourself out of the situation. Don’t go on social media for a few days, do things you like doing like walking your dog.’

Scarlett is set to be taking part in Celebrity Bake Off this spring, alongside the likes of X, Y and Z. 

She said: ‘It’s an amazing cause, Stand Up to Cancer. I feel like everyone at some point has been affected by cancer, whether it’s family or a friend.

‘I’m doing this for my Dad. My Dad had cancer when I was younger. Luckily, he was able to kick its butt and he came home on Christmas Eve.

‘I would like to make sure that everyone can kick its butt and that’s my little part.’

Lorraine asked how the baking was and Scarlett confessed: ‘I feel bad because when I was on Gogglebox, a little bit of a couch warrior, I was like “It can’t be that hard!”

‘They give you three and a half hours to bake a cake, it’s going to be simple. But I genuinely thought you could take cake mix in with you.

‘It’s really difficult. It’s quite stressful in a way because you want to do well.’
